Recruits Veep’s Reid Scott for a series regular role as a new detective for Season 23, replacing Jeffrey Donovan ~ who will not return for the new season

Exact details on the character Scott will be playing are being kept under wraps, aside from the fact he will be portraying an NYPD detective
