'When Hope Calls'~ Hallmark Channel to Air First Two Episodes of Streaming-Only Series.
The first two episodes of the show — which normally can only be seen on Hallmark Movies Now — will air on the Hallmark Channel on September 21.

Like When Calls the Heart, When Hope Calls is set on the Canadian frontier in the early 20th century. The new series, “tells the story of two sisters who open an orphanage in the 1916 Western town of Brookfield. Caught between traditions of cattle ranchers and ambitions of a growing town, they strive to find romance and happiness while overcoming the challenges of helping the children in their care,” according to a synopsis from Hallmark. 

In the series premieres sisters Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace (Jocelyn Hudon) confront the town’s disapproval when they open an orphanage in Brookfield. But when a fire breaks out, they are caught up in the efforts to save their community. In episode 2, Lillian must defend two of her orphans after they’re accused of setting the fire. Plus, two familiar faces to Hearties — Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee Coulter (Kavan Smith) — arrive to help with reconstruction efforts.
