Actor David Del Rio fired after sexual assault allegation
"CBS’ Matlock has fired one of its series regulars after an allegation of sexual assault. David Del Rio, who plays attorney Billy Martinez on the legal drama, was let go after an incident involving him and a female member of the show’s cast, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter. CBS Studios, which produces Matlock, investigated the allegation right away. It resulted in Del Rio being let go from the show last week, at which point he was escorted off the set.

"Del Rio’s character Billy will immediately be written off, though it’s not clear how many episodes he’ll appear in for the upcoming Season 2. The show is currently on a filming hiatus through November after completing production on the first half of the season.
Season 2 premières this Sunday at 8:30/7:30c on CBS at a special night and time — with an episode featuring both Del Rio and Lewis — before settling into its regular time slot Thursday, Oct. 16 at 9/8c"
