Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, or SAG-AFTRA, voted unanimously Thursday morning to go on strike, the guild's chief negotiator announced at an afternoon news conference. “SAG-AFTRA’s Television/Theatrical/Streaming contracts have expired without a successor agreement,” the union said in a statement early Thursday, shortly after the previous contract expired at 11:59 p.m. PT (2:59 a.m. ET), capping days of high-stakes negotiations and suspense
