ViacomCBS becomes Paramount Global~

ViacomCBS is changing its name to Paramount as the company ramps up its efforts to win a bigger slice of the crowded streaming market. The conglomerate is home to CBS, Showtime, Nickelodeon and MTV; the publisher Simon & Schuster; and the titular film studio. But the rebranding reveals the growing importance of the company’s Paramount+ streaming service, which added 7.3 million subscribers in the fourth quarter. It now has 32.8 million subscribers
