NBC has given a straight to series order to crime drama

 “The Thing About Pam,” with Renee Zellweger set to executive produce and star.

The six-episode true-crime series from Blumhouse Television, NBC News Studios and Zellweger’s Big Picture Co. is based on the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria, which was explored on the NBC news magazine “Dateline” and in a 201 podcast.

Sinister forces plot against a young soldier when she reveals a magical power that might unite her world. Based on Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse novels.

Takes place in a very different kind of fantasy world. Think Imperial Russia, not Medieval England, repeating rifles instead of broadswords. It's a story about the people who have been told how much they don't matter proving how much they do. And it's been incredible to see that story take shape on such an epic scale, the battles, the magic, but also the relationships between the characters.

Revival In Early Development at Paramount+ { Double fingers crossed 🤞 }

Just a year after concluding its 15-season run on CBS, Criminal Minds is slinking out of the TV graveyard.

I've learned that upstart streamer Paramount+ is looking to revive the killer procedural via a limited event series (that sources say could also once again become an ongoing series).

Insiders caution that the project — co-produced once again by CBS Studios and ABC Signature — remains in its infancy and no deals have been completed. 

The final-season cast included series vets Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler, Kirsten Vangsness and Paget Brewster as well as Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez and Daniel Henney.
